Beth: in the top left hand corner (.) there’s like an eight (.) but on its side (5) exactly ↑ um (.) on the (.) to the right of the eight (1) there’s like a circle which is a bit bigger than the infinity sign (.) its like (.) a thumb (.) size circle.

Rachel: I’ll re-draw it (3)

Beth: done? ↑ (4) and then 9.) to the right of that but a bit further down theres a rectangle (.) but its like (2) the longest side is (2) on the (.) bottom and the top/ if you get what I mean? ↑ (4) um (.) below the infinity sign like quite a bit below so about a fingers length

Overview:

The task was to communicate a drawing without the use of many paralinguistic features such as body language. It was rather successful as we managed to replicate shapes to one another but it probably would have been much easier using body language. However the shapes were distinguished clearly by rachel as i used a specific Socialect that i knew both of us could understand too a basic level.
